With a few locations, a shoestring budget, and a handful of actors, Arati manages to visualise an incredible space sci-fi film. The space scenes are well shot, especially considering the film’s budget, but Cargo's biggest strength comes from the interactions among its fully realised characters whose dialogues and camaraderie is sure to deliver an entertaining ride.

Cargo also bursts one’s illusion of permanence. It makes you confront these uncomfortable truths, while also giving you hope that the cycle of life and death will continue. Our memories will fade, we will heal and start again.

‘Cargo’ was up for the festival circuit run-around this year and we sort of get why. The film may not appease the taste buds of sci-fi fanatics and masala movie lovers alike, but on so many levels, it’s a big step towards experimental cinema.

Overall, Cargo might be a sci-fi plus mythology drama, but it’s not intense or heavy. You can watch it enjoying a bowl of popcorn without having to worry that it will make you think deeply to understand the story. While Arati Kadav’s imagination and creativity will impress you, the slow pace will fail to grab your attention throughout. Yet, give it a watch because you won’t easily see this kind of cinema soon in Hindi cinema.

Cargo is very much an allegorical take on the meaning of life and death, told through the gaze of someone with a distinctly whimsical way of looking at things.

    #OneWordReview...

    #Sadak2: UNBEARABLE.

    Rating: Medium star

Just cannot be compared to its first part... Lacklustre plot... Lethargic and lifeless screenwriting... Music doesn’t work either... Terrible waste of the brand [#Sadak] and talent associated with this film. #Sadak2Review

It’s hard to believe that this comes from Mahesh Bhatt’s baton, who has given us such classics as Arth, Naam, and the 1999 Zakhm, which spoke so eloquently and emotively to the growing rift between religions, and people. That was a landmark film. In his best work, Bhatt had the ability to catch the flavour of the moment and translate that into smart mainstream fare, and it was a wrench when he decided to stop directing.

In a nutshell, ‘Sadak 2’, for everyone involved with this project, should have been a ‘road not taken’. And for those who are planning on watching this purely for sentimental reasons, be forewarned: This Sadak leads nowhere; turn back. Jai Guru ji!

All said and done, walk-in with little expectations, and you might not be as disappointed as I am. Good performances, poor execution drop the film at what its rightly called – Sadak.

Jay I Patel's cinematography is quite good and captures the locales well. Abbas Ali Moghul's action is theatrical. Amit Ray and Subrata Chakraborty's production design and Priyanka Bhatt's costumes are fine. Sandeep Kurup's editing is nothing special.

On the whole, SADAK 2 is confusing, depressing and a dull fare.

Class Of '83 Movie Review: Despite Bobby Deol's unfussy impersonation of a solid, righteous policeman, the film is more tattle than tension, more acrimony than action.

Though we’ve seen so many iterations of the gangsters vs honest law enforcers in the movies, there’s always room for another. Especially because we need stories of cops who believe in their motto of ‘protect the good and destroy the evil’, today more than ever.

A NOT SO GRIPPING CRIME-DRAMA. But ultimately, although 'Class of 83' had all the ingredients to make a gripping crime drama and recreates a realistic setting, it ends up dishing out a tedious watch.

All said and done, Class Of 83 in the hands of artists who know this world better would’ve been a far superior product. Nothing works for the film in its current version and it’s a shame because yet another good story wasted.

On the whole, CLASS OF ’83 is a poor show because of the hurried narrative and lacklustre script and direction.
