‘The Sky is Pink’ is definitely a stirring watch as your heart goes out to the Chaudhary family and their zest for making every moment count, despite the trying times they go through. This one scores high on the emotional quotient.

The Sky Is Pink is of a hue that sets it apart from Bose’s earlier films, but the director is acutely conscious of the colours she is working with here and uses the shades to deliver a pathos-filled but warm-hearted picture that does not lose sight of its primary purpose. Unmissable.

Occasionally, the combined charm of the star cast does lift the film, especially when they are goofing off in their fancy farmhouse-type home, keeping in sync with the family’s rise in fortunes. To confront the fact of a truncated life changes both, the person counting down as well as the family keeping vigil, in fundamental, moving ways. The sky can indeed be any colour you want, there’s lovely whimsy in the title. It needed to have seeped into the film.

Particularly poignant is a scene after Aisha’s death when they confront the fact that for the first time in their life, they are drifting apart. Chopra Jones shines in that moment of handwringing agony. Wasim, as the young precocious Aisha is adorable, suitably impish and mature in turns. The real hero in this instance, however, would have to be the zany uplifting story and to that effect, with The Sky is Pink, Bose delivers a fitting salutation to life.

Large passages of The Sky Is Pink are swaddled in sorrow, as you might expect, but the film’s stand-out quality is its commitment to its positivity. Without seeming to try too hard, it is funny, believable and heartwrenching all rolled into one. Death in the storyline is as inevitable as it is for all of us in real life, but what this film does is to celebrate lives well lived.

    war day 1 collections

War thrashed all the records with highest day one collections of 51.5 crores beating Thugs Of Hindustan by a decent margin of 3.23 crores. Both the movies are from Yash Raj Films.

War opened with a house-full occupancy all over India. It had some competition from Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy from the South but still managed to collect huge. We need to see how much drop will be there on the 2nd day as it is the working day.

SYE RAA Movie Review By Critics

    Ratings:.3.5/5 Review By: N/A Site: 123telugu

On the whole, Sye Raa is a superbly made patriotic drama which hits the right note with its emotions, performances, and narration. Chiranjeevi leads from the front and gives a stellar performance. Though the film starts a bit slow, it picks up supremely well and gives the audience an emotional rush throughout. Box office wise, the film will do extremely well, and Ram Charan has surely made his dad’s dream come true by making Sye Raa a must watch this festive season.

The story-telling has its flaws, but the characters are intriguing. What’s impressive is the massive canvas the film is mounted on. Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy might work only in bits and pieces, especially with a story that has been told a million times over, but the scenes in which the film works and Chiranjeevi, make it all worthwhile!

Overall, Sye Raa delivers a lavish, made-for-big-screen patriotic mass entertainer. There are the occasional dull moments and a few action parts that drift apart, but the climax and the visuals make up for it. Sye Raa is a must-watch big-scale epic tale that gets most of the rights, and that warrants an easy one time watch.

Sye Raa has long been a dream project for Megastar and after watching the movie one can understand why. It is a story of an inspiring freedom fighter with good emotional content.  A commercial hit film that portrays rebellion Narasimha Reddy story effectively. Producer Charan delivers a dream project for his dad with ample help from Director Surender Reddy.

    SYERAA Movie Review By Critics

Ratings:.3.25/5 Review By: Venkat Arikatla Site: Greatandhra

On the whole, “Sye Raa” makes an engaging watch with a terrific and emotional climax, superior making standards and has many commercial elements despite over the top scenes and lengthy runtime.

Also, this is a story of a freedom warrior of our land that was largely suppressed in the pages of history. Should be commended for this reason for bringing to the screen the story of an unsung hero.

Movie starts off on a weak note with love story and characters establishment. 30 minutes into the film, you will start getting involved as the conflict with the British gets going. All the action sequences and war episodes are excellently done by mixing them with emotion and patriotism. SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy is like a Telugu version of Brave Heart. On a whole, SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy is a fictionalised version of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy and is a must watch!
